February in a nutshell

I said I would try and do a blog post at the end of each month just to kind-of re-cap on what we have been up to.  All of you know that February was a life-changing month for our family with the birth of our little boy John Emmanuel.  I've shared a lot of pics on facebook with everyone, so check that out if you haven't already seen those.  There were a few fun things that we were able to do before John arrived, so I thought I would share that too.
About a week before John arrived we decided to do one last outing with Molly before we would be tied down to the apartment with a newborn.  We decided to do dinner and a movie.  We went to a mall here in Bangalore called the Phoenix Mall.  It is a 4 story mall with tons of fancy stores...a good place to do some window shopping.  Other than the Mall of America, it might be the biggest mall I've ever been to.  We found a Krispy Kreme and decided to stop for a donut.  It was sooo delightful! (Haven't had one of those in over 3 months.)

Then we went to a 3D movie and saw the new Disney movie Frozen.  Molly wasn't so sure about wearing the 3D glasses, but we all enjoyed the movie anyways.

After the movie we treated ourselves to some good American cuisine at the California Pizza Kitchen.   We had so much fun spending the day together as it did end up being our last family outing before John came.

Since John's birth we have been busy with feedings, changing diapers, rocking. holding, and loving on our little man.  We have also had lots of friends come visit to meet John.  We are so grateful to have so much support and love from friends here as we are not able have any family meet him in person yet.  Many of these people have gifted or let us borrow many of the baby items that we are using for John.  We are definitely praising God for his provision for us in this way!  I wanted to share a couple photos of some of our closest friends (aka our Bangalore family) that have come to share in our joy.  (I'm missing a few of the people that came to visit and didn't manage to get their photo with John).

I have definitely treasured each visit, so I thank all of you that took the time to come see us or make us a meal!  We can't wait for all of our friends and family back home to meet him too.  Anybody is welcome to come and visit us in India:)
